Sing Along

You, who are on the road
Must have a code
That you can live by.
And so, become yourself
Because the past
Is just a goodbye

Drive Up

Teach, your children well
Their father's hell
Did slowly go by
And feed them on your dreams
The ones they pick
The one you'll know by.

Tour De Sunday

Don't you ever ask them why
If they told you, you would die
So just look at them and sigh
And know they love you.

The Bikers Are Coming!

  1. I have the CSNY album. ♡

In so many ways, I'm glad I was a kid in the 60's when a bike was your first taste of freedom to explore the world by yourself or with a pile of friends. We rode to school, to our friends' houses, to other neighbourhoods, downtown to the public pool and the park with picnic lunches.
We did it without helmets, without adult supervision but with a complete sense of self and the confidence that we knew the "rules".

I had a gold Stingray which I received for my 8th birthday in 1968. My mom still had it in her garage until a few years ago. She sold it to a wide-eyed kid. It's good to know that bike lived on to fulfill another kid's penchant for exploring their world.

    I love your blog.

  2. P.S. My first posed picture on it shows me in a faux leather almost-mini skirt and tights. ☺

  3. Now that I'm a parent, this song makes me tear up every time I hear it.
