so last week i was fortunate enough to be able to go home to the motherland for a couple of days. here are some of the bikes i saw when i was down there y'all!
tandem cruiser?! i can safely say i've never seen a tandem cruiser before. each set of handlebars had its own bell too. just in case, ya know? i've seen a tandem cargo bike, but not a tandem cruiser. radness. and on a SUV. well, that part isn't so rad, but what can you do?
free gary fisher anyone? sigh. the myriad of ways people lock up bikes for the taking really astounds me.
tomorrow will have another scene from austin, but this time involving the bikes we actually rode around on.

Cruising and shining.
Bikey love from the Bay, to ELAY, this video I found via laughinsquid earlier this week, reminded me that the beauty between the north and the southern end of our state, some people can get a rush from having the latest and greatest gadget -SF feels this way more than often especially with so many siclionvallenians nerdos-- or you can get a rush from cruising in the beachside around Los Angeles county.
Almost felt like I would see our LA collab wondershooter woman Caryl somewhere in the video =)
I'd like to visit this shop and get me a cruiser if I ever was to live in SoCal or elsewhere - because any place is really flat, after biking in SF for almost a decade.
This video is tight.

Cruising around
There aren't many cruisers in the city, but enough to make you smile. I spotted these 2 super cute baby blue ones in the Inner Richmond. As I turned, the two friends were giggling because I thought those orange flowers were automatic smile-makers.
My friend and dinner partner for the afternoon just said 'ok, meli - remind me to put orange flowers on my road bike when I get home'
Keep taking notes I said.
Boys, are so silly.
The weather was in the high 80°s and the sunset couldn't be more beautiful. It is September, and it is summer in SF. With mostly foggy skies, so we take full advantage of the 'heat waves'
