Oooops!

I never remember where my car is. It is not unusual for me to have to call James to ask where it is. Should I happen to remember it is street cleaning I am lucky. Should I remember to pay the tickets... that would be fortunate as well.

Oooops!

Obviously, I have not been lucky. Don't pay tickets + forget to SMOG + fail to register = the Boot! On top of it, there are cobwebs in my windows.

On the bright side? There is Tuscan Semolina Cake on my front rack and the GIANTS WON game 1!!

  3. Get rid of the Car Pronto and all that needless expense. Like the Motto says on Bike's One Less Car.

Do you really need to have a Car.

  5. Scott- I wonder of we would fly to the US?

    Thom- Isn't it?

Meli- i am afraid to find out how it went there. James took it for the team on this one.

LHAV- No. i don't need my car and would get rid of it if the decision were mine alone.

    nio- completely lame.

  6. I inherited a car, because they figured not having one it was something I would appreciate.

At some point I figured that since this "free" car was costing a lot of money I ought to drive the thing. A spider had taken up residence in my driver's door rear view mirror and had webbed across to the door. It was interesting watching him cope with being driven.

Figure I should put some gas in it, only to discover a wasp colony had taken up residence under the fuel filler door.

    I sold it.

  8. KFG- I would sell it NOW if I could. Hubby the Bikeman, in this case, is Hubby the Keep the Stupid Car Man : )

When we bought the car new in 1998 I really did need it. Now... Unless I am going somewhere quite far away or somewhere in town very late at night, I don't want it. The family car is not going to last much longer and I think he wants to keep this one to drive to work until we find a reliable family car. At that point, that money sink is going no matter what!

Nio- car = lame Nio = FABULOUS!

  9. Maybe you need to find some wasps and ask him if he'd put some gas in it for you.

It's amazing what a motivator a wasp colony can be.
